MERRILL POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT WEEK ENDING JANUARY 19

MERRILL – The Merrill Police Department responded to 8 incidents last week, including two reports of domestic disturbance and disorderly conduct and two reports of possession of drug paraphernalia. There were two reports of theft and possible fraudulent activity. There was a request for assistance from the Park Falls police dept to obtain a DNA sample from a Merrill resident.

On Thursday January 16, a call was received from a convenience store regarding the discovery of an envelope containing a large amount of money which was unclaimed. Through surveillance, the officer successfully determined the owner was a North Carolina resident and arrangements were made to return the money.
